Radial Flow Pump

A radial flow pump is a centrifugal pump which is designed with the pump having higher discharge pressures with lower flow rates.

As the fluid leaves the impeller of a radial flow pump it moves in a radial direction which causes higher centrifugal forces. These centrifugal forces moving in this radial direction produce higher discharge pressures with typically smaller volume flow rates.
